About the Role The role of a Front Desk Associate within this hotel is vital as it encompasses the first point of contact for guests. The associate is responsible for greeting, registering, and servicing guests in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner that aligns with the hotel’s brand standards and sustainability goals.

This position requires a high degree of customer interaction, where the Associate will register guests, assign their rooms, establish payment methods, confirm reservations, and handle billing with accuracy. They will also serve as a communication hub by transmitting and receiving messages through the hotel’s Property Management System (PMS) or telephones. A primary focus is on responding promptly to guest requests and resolving any complaints with professionalism and, when necessary, escalation to supervisors.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous customer service experience or equivalent training required
  • knowledge of PMS systems preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods, walk, push, lift up to 25 pounds, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • flexibility to work holidays, weekends and alternate shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous customer service experience or equivalent training required
  • knowledge of PMS systems preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet guests immediately and offer assistance
  • register and assign guests to rooms
  • establish payment methods and verify credit
  • make and confirm reservations
  • compute bills, collect payments, and make change
  • transmit and receive messages using telephones or PMS
  • respond to guest requests in a timely manner
  • receive and resolve guest complaints and escalate when necessary
  • secure guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe-deposit boxes
  • perform bookkeeping activities including balancing accounts and audits
  • promote and adhere to sustainability guidelines
  • practice safe work habits according to MSDS and OSHA standards
  • assist in the breakfast area or with guest luggage during peak times
  • ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • perform other duties as requested by management
