Job Requirements

- ability to handle cash transactions accurately

Job Duties
- greet guests
- check guests in and out with friendliness, speed and accuracy
- maintain all necessary paperwork and initial and date as required
- handle cash accurately and balance shift reports
- operate switchboard and transfer calls
- maintain confidentiality of business information
- know room rates, locations, and furnishings
- be familiar with the layout of the building
- promote franchise membership club
- refer guests to alternative lodging when hotel is full
- provide information on local attractions and dining
- present a polite and friendly image
- take and record reservations accurately
- check credit card and reservation validity
- monitor reservation status
- handle guest complaints
- follow emergency procedures
- report hazards and investigate incidents
- know location of gas, electric, water cutoffs and breakers
- maintain cleanliness of lobby and office
- be proficient in computer operations
- set up and maintain continental breakfast
- know location and use of ADA box
- complete required forms and logs
- perform other assigned duties
