Job Requirements

- prior experience in customer service or hospitality
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ability to operate switchboard and basic computer functions
- reliable and punctual
- ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

- ability to maintain confidentiality
- cash handling proficiency
- knowledge of emergency procedures

Job Duties
- greet guests
- check them in and out with friendliness, speed and accuracy
- maintain all paperwork as required by your shift
- maintain accuracy in handling cash
- operate switchboard and transfer calls
- keep all business confidential
- know room rates, locations, and furnishings
- know physical make-up of building interior and exterior
- promote membership in the franchise's membership club
- help secure lodging for guests when hotel is full
- know local attractions, restaurants, and events
- be polite and present a friendly image
- take and record reservations accurately
- check credit cards and guaranteed reservations
- know status of reservations daily and future
- handle guest complaints effectively
- know emergency procedures and respond appropriately
- report hazards and complete incident or accident reports
- know location of utilities cut-offs and emergency lights
- keep lobby and office areas clean
- know computer operations and procedures
- setup and maintain continental breakfast
- know location and use of ADA box
- complete call back sheet and file
- complete room availability form
- complete comment log
- complete shift verification form
- perform all other duties as assigned
