The Guest Service Agent role at HHM Hotels is an essential position within the front office team, serving as the first point of contact for guests. This position involves greeting, registering, and assisting guests in a friendly and courteous manner, strictly following hotel brand and sustainability standards. Guest Service Agents ensure seamless check-in and check-out processes, manage reservations and payment methods, and respond promptly to guest requests to enhance overall satisfaction. This position offers a clear growth path, including progression to Front Desk Supervisor or Sales Coordinator and ultimately to Front Office Manager or Sales Manager roles. The role requires attention to detail, excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
In this role, the Guest Service Agent will also engage in various operational tasks such as balancing accounts, conducting audits, handling guest valuables securely, and supporting breakfast or luggage assistance during peak periods. The successful candidate will play an active role in improving guest satisfaction scores and will be expected to follow all safety protocols and sustainability guidelines. Job Duties
- Greet guests immediately and offer assistance
- register and assign guests to rooms
- establish and verify methods of payment
- make and confirm reservations
- compute bills, collect payments, and make change
- transmit and receive messages using telephone or PMS system
- respond to guest requests promptly
- receive and resolve guest complaints, escalating when necessary
- secure guests’ valuables in safes
- perform bookkeeping activities such as balancing accounts and conducting audits
- monitor and work towards improving guest satisfaction scores
- follow sustainability guidelines as per EarthView program
- practice safe work habits and adhere to MSDS and OSHA standards
- assist in breakfast area or with luggage during peak times
- ensure overall guest satisfaction
- perform other duties as requested by management
