We are currently seeking a Front Desk Agent to join our dynamic team. This full-time role plays a crucial part in creating a positive first impression for guests as they check in and out of the hotel. The Front Desk Agent will be responsible for managing reservations, providing accurate information about hotel rates and services, handling guest payments securely, and supporting front office operations with an emphasis on accuracy and professionalism. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with guests and team members alike.

In this role, the Front Desk Agent will greet guests cordially and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out procedures while handling reservations efficiently, including pre-registration and room blocking. The agent will be expected to have complete knowledge of the Front Office computer and manual systems, including posting charges accurately on guest accounts, managing cash and credit payments, and coordinating special requests such as discounts or room relocations. The candidate must be capable of managing reservations quickly and follow cancellation and relocation procedures meticulously. Scheduling may vary, requiring flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to work varying schedules including nights weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality or front desk operations preferred
  • Basic knowledge of reservation systems and cash handling

Job Duties

  • Greet and communicate cordially with guests promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel
  • Assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary
  • Promptly accurately and efficiently know how and where to post all charges
  • Have complete working knowledge of Front Office computer or manual system including all daily transactions and those which are not performed often
  • Accurately manage cash handling including receiving cash checks and credit card information from guests for payment of hotel charges and making change correctly
  • Review any reservations with special requests and work to block rooms accordingly
  • Have knowledge of hotel rates discounts and how to handle each
  • Have working knowledge of reservations and procedures including how to take same day reservations should be able to take reservations in approximately 2 minutes
  • Know and follow cancellation procedures and relocation procedures when necessary
