Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to clean and maintain guest rooms efficiently
  • Physical capability to push up to 150-pound carts and lift or move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, and pulling
  • Tolerance of cleaning chemicals and use of personal protective equipment including gloves, masks, and goggles
  • Willingness to work inside hotel assigned areas including high-rise tower
  • Ability to use elevators frequently
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Must wear issued uniform while on duty

Job Qualifications

  • Six months to one-year previous experience as a guest room attendant preferred
  • Minimum one-year customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to all guests
  • Ability to work well as a team member and get along with co-workers
  • Conduct self in a professional manner
  • Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to company policies
  • Possess excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work any day of the week and any shift
  • Present a professional image in compliance with appearance guidelines

Job Duties

  • Responsible for cleaning up to 15 guest rooms per shift including making beds and changing bed linen
  • Remove and replace towels and toiletries
  • Dust furniture, vacuum, mop, and sanitize bathrooms and kitchenettes
  • Clean and maintain work areas
  • Complete special projects assigned by floor supervisor or management
  • Offer courteous and hospitable service to guests with knowledge of hotel services and local area
  • Report damages, repairs, and lost & found items to supervisor
  • Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
