This 190-room Marriott hotel is directly connected to the expansive 44,000 square foot Durham Convention Center and is located adjacent to the iconic Carolina Theatre. With its proximity to Duke University and other local attractions, the hotel is an ideal spot for individuals looking to build and advance their career in hospitality.

The role of a Housekeeper at the Durham Marriott City Center involves maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest service in alignment with franchised and hotel-specific requirements. Working flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts is essential to meet guest needs and operational demands. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to creating a welcoming and safe environment for all guests. Responsibilities include cleaning and servicing guest rooms with priority categories, managing guest complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction, adhering to safety and security procedures, and performing deep cleaning and seasonal tasks as assigned. The Housekeeper will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness carts and reporting any maintenance issues to management.

This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous cleaning experience, preferably within a hotel setting, who are eager to contribute to a top-tier hospitality experience. Effective communication skills are necessary for interacting with guests, management, and team members, and knowledge of proper chemical handling ensures safety and compliance. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends holidays and varied shifts

  • observe all house and safety rules housekeeping room procedures and security procedures
