The full-time position for Guest Room Attendant / Housekeeper at Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort and Spa is essential in maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and safety standards that guests expect. This role focuses on delivering high-quality cleaning and room preparation that ensures each guest's room is refreshed, orderly, and welcoming. The attendant will be responsible for cleaning assigned rooms efficiently to established standards, changing linens, organizing and sanitizing bathrooms and living spaces, vacuuming floors, restocking amenities, and responding promptly and courteously to guest requests. The ideal Candidate embraces a friendly, service-oriented attitude and thrives in a dynamic hotel environment. Attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members are critical to success in this role.
Working in a fast-paced hospitality setting, the Guest Room Attendant / Housekeeper must manage time effectively to prioritize duties without compromising quality. They will also report maintenance issues or damages to ensure timely repairs and overall guest satisfaction. Adherence to safety protocols and proper lost and found procedures ensures a safe and professional workplace. Uniform compliance is mandatory, reflecting the professional image of the resort.
Candidates must have the legal right to work in the United States and be flexible with work hours, including weekends. While previous housekeeping experience is beneficial, it is not a strict requirement, as on-the-job training is likely provided. This role requires physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight (minimum 50 pounds), which is typical in housekeeping tasks. Job Duties
- Load and organize housekeeping cart
- keep the cart clean and organized at all times
- service and clean assigned rooms to standards in a timely manner

- pick up trash
- refresh guest amenities
- vacuum floors and change sheets
- restock or replace all room and bath amenities
- anticipate guests' needs and respond to their requests to assure guest satisfaction
- report any damage or mechanical issues in the resort and guest rooms
- follow proper safety practices
- follow the proper lost and found procedures
- communicate effectively and efficiently with guests, co-workers, and supervisors
- be in proper uniform at all times
