Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior housekeeping or related experience preferred
- ability to perform physical tasks including bending lifting standing and walking for extended periods
- basic understanding of cleaning techniques and safety protocols
- good communication skills both verbal and written
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
- availability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications

- previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- ability to interact courteously with guests

- willingness to learn hotel policies and emergency procedures
Job Duties
- Keep work area clean and neat free from dust and litter
- loads carts with supplies needed to perform duties
- clean all guest rooms as assigned within the required time limit including changing bed linens and making beds
- vacuum carpet and move furniture as needed to clean
- dust and clean all furniture including picture frames bed frames lamps TVs armoires desks etc
- clean mirrors surfaces windows walls etc
- thoroughly clean bathroom area by washing shower tub sink floor toilet etc
- replace room amenities such as bathroom supplies drinking glasses writing supplies etc
- empty wastebaskets
- ensure guest room set up complies with standards
- report any discrepancies in room status or incomplete rooms to inspector
- turn in all lost and found items following standard procedures
- fill out assignment sheet as each room is completed
- ensure all equipment is operational and supplies are sufficient report equipment needing repair or supplies needing ordering
- interact with guests to answer questions and provide necessary services referring guests to other staff if needed
- be familiar with operating procedures of all other hotel areas cooperating fully and friendly to assure customer satisfaction
- be a team player and encourage teamwork among staff
- attend department and inter-departmental meetings as necessary
- notify management of any pertinent shift activity information
- be knowledgeable of all hotel emergency procedures
- ensure areas are free of safety hazards and perform duties safely and efficiently
- ensure total guest satisfaction
- follow manager's instructions and perform other duties as directed
- assist in safety and maintenance by tracking items in HotSos for relevant department
- utilize Room Expediter system
- keep white room clean at all times
- assist with cleaning and organizing storeroom as needed
- clean ceilings
- strip and make rollaway beds
