The current opportunity is for the position of a Guest Room Attendant, an essential role within the company's housekeeping department. The Guest Room Attendant will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness, and security of guest rooms to ensure guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming stay. This position demands attention to detail, dedication to service excellence, and the ability to work efficiently within a team-oriented environment. Duties include cleaning assigned guest rooms to company and departmental standards, which involves changing bed linens, collecting and replenishing bath linens, dusting hard surfaces, vacuuming carpets, and thoroughly cleaning bathroom facilities. In addition, the attendant will be responsible for replenishing room amenities, stocking cleaning supply carts, updating room status, and promptly communicating necessary repairs to the housekeeping office. The role also requires quick, courteous responses to guest requests and other tasks as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • good physical condition
  • willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Qualifications

  • previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred

Job Duties

  • ensure the security of guest rooms and their contents
  • clean assigned number of guest rooms according to company and departmental standards including changing bed linens, collecting used bath linens and replenishing with fresh linens, dusting hard surfaces, vacuuming carpeted areas, cleaning bathroom sink, counters, tub and/or shower, toilet, replenish room amenities such as tissues, soaps
  • stock supply cart with supplies necessary for cleaning guest rooms
  • update room status and complete requisite departmental paperwork
  • notify housekeeping office of any repairs needed in guest rooms
  • handle guest requests quickly and efficiently
  • other duties as assigned by management
