The role of a Housekeeper within this hotel is pivotal to the overall guest experience. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms and ensuring all assigned areas are free from safety hazards. You will perform your duties efficiently and adhere strictly to the hotel's quality and safety standards. Your daily tasks will include receiving your work assignments from the dispatcher and signing out room keys from security. Checking your cart to ensure you have the correct cleaning supplies is an essential first step before beginning your room servicing duties.
You will be expected to clean guest rooms following a specific protocol, prioritizing early service requests, VIP rooms, check-out rooms, then occupied rooms. Any discrepancies in room status or maintenance concerns must be promptly reported to the floor supervisor. Managing lost and found items according to hotel policies and assisting with additional duties such as turning mattresses or performing PM room checks as necessary are also part of your responsibilities. This role requires completing daily special assignments and ensuring that completed rooms are accurately documented.
This position also demands flexibility as you should be able to work weekends and holidays as needed. The housekeeping team works cohesively with the supervisory staff, the Director of Housekeeping, and the Manager on Duty to maintain high standards and support the hotel's commitment to exceptional guest service. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about maintaining cleanliness and those who take pride in contributing to a welcoming environment for all guests. Being located in La Porte, TX, relocation is required before starting work to ensure timely attendance and consistent performance in this in-person role.

Job Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial work preferred but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and techniques is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
- Positive attitude and willingness to provide exceptional hospitality service to guests
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to relocate to La Porte, TX before starting work

Job Duties
- Receive work assignment from dispatcher
- Sign out room keys from security
- Check cart for correct supplies
- Clean guest rooms according to prescribed procedures prioritizing early service requests, VIPs, check out rooms, and occupied rooms
- Report discrepancies in room status to floor supervisor
- Turn in Lost and Found Items following standard procedure
- Report rooms not completed and reasons to floor supervisor
- Report repairs or maintenance work needed in guest rooms
- Complete special daily work assignments
- Assist house person in turning mattresses if necessary
- Perform PM room check if necessary
- Fill out assignment sheet as each room is completed
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor, Director of Housekeeping, or Manager on Duty
- Work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
