The housekeeper will play an integral role in maintaining the high standards Boyd Gaming is known for, particularly in resort and casino hotel settings. The individual in this role will be responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms, ensuring that every detail meets company and departmental standards. This includes tasks such as changing bed linens, replenishing bath linens, dusting, and vacuuming, as well as cleaning bathrooms thoroughly. The position demands a commitment to quality and a keen eye for detail to provide guests with a welcoming and sanitized environment.

The housekeeper will also contribute to safety by ensuring guest rooms and their contents remain secure while cleaning and managing inventory. Part of the responsibilities includes stocking the supply cart with necessary items to effectively complete cleaning duties and updating room status properly. Effective communication with housekeeping management regarding any repairs or guest requests is crucial to maintain operational flow and guest satisfaction. Job Duties

  • Ensure the security of guest rooms and their contents
  • Clean assigned number of guest rooms according to company and departmental standards including but not limited to changing bed linens, collecting used bath linens and replenishing with fresh linens, dusting hard surfaces, vacuuming carpeted areas, cleaning bathroom sink, counters, tub and/or shower, toilet, etc., replenish room amenities such as tissues, soaps, etc.
  • Stock supply cart with supplies necessary for cleaning guest rooms
  • Update room status and complete requisite departmental paperwork
  • Notify housekeeping office of any repairs needed in guest rooms
  • Handle guest requests quickly and efficiently
  • Other duties as assigned by management
