The role of Guest Experience Venue Manager at this organization is pivotal in shaping and delivering the end-to-end hospitality experience at one of these host city venues. Reporting directly to the Venue Manager and the Vice President of Guest Experiences, the position demands creativity, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple teams and vendors effectively. This is a fixed-term position that involves non-regular working hours, including weekends and national holidays, which reflects the high-intensity nature of the event and the commitment required to ensure seamless hospitality operations through the tournament period.
As the Guest Experience Venue Manager, you will take on expansive responsibilities encompassing a broad spectrum of hospitality facets. Your core duties will involve managing hospitality gifting, orchestrating guest experience staff and third-party vendors, overseeing hospitality entertainment, and ensuring comprehensive omnichannel communication and content recommendations. Additionally, your role includes meticulously mapping service delivery and compiling post-tournament reporting to assess success and areas for improvement.
A significant component of this role entails access control strategy management, where you will supervise guest tiering accuracy, zone control, and staff allocation to maintain the integrity and smooth operation of hospitality zones. Your leadership will encompass managing external suppliers and vendors, guaranteeing service levels meet the assigned scope requirements. The position requires you to engage cross-functional teams throughout the hospitality journey, driving alignment and premium service delivery at every touchpoint. Your leadership will influence every phase of the guest journey from arrival to post-event communication, ensuring an exceptional and cohesive experience that aligns with FIFA’s prestigious hospitality tiers and brand standards.
This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with at least five years of VIP hospitality experience at major sporting events, coupled with strong project management skills and a proven track record of managing large-scale projects across multiple workstreams. Experience in international or multi-venue events and a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional environments are essential. Fluency in English is mandatory, with additional languages such as Spanish or French considered advantageous. Mobility is also a key factor, as the position requires travel across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
The Guest Experience Venue Manager will also have opportunities to contribute to the entertainment programs across the stadium, implement gifting programs, ensure readiness of hospitality spaces, and strategize post-match communications and guest feedback processes with the objective of fostering repeat patronage. Job Duties
- Support on location venue manager and VP guest experience with delivery of the overall hospitality program at the assigned venue
- Manage selected guest experience vendors and all hired guest experience staff
- Align guest experience and guest journey with FIFA brand standards and On Location’s hospitality tiers across global and local audiences
- Oversee the execution of hospitality services at the assigned stadium, including indoor lounges and FIFA pavilion
- Deliver access control system at assigned venue
- Ensure all functions are synchronized around key journey milestones and guest experience standards
- Ensure successful implementation of the gifting program
