Job Requirements

  • Must have one year of experience in a healthcare or customer service environment

  • must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
  • must apply sound judgment to resolve inquiries and problems
  • ability to multitask while maintaining control of assigned area

Job Duties

  • Provides a warm welcome to patients, families, vendors, visitors, and staff upon arrival and departure
  • assists in problem resolution during entry or exit processes
  • coordinates accurate referral of incoming visitors to appropriate locations
  • maintains a clean, neat, and comfortable environment
  • communicates hospital policies and procedures to families
  • interfaces with affiliated facilities to expedite outpatient services
  • physically escorts patients and families to clinical areas
  • serves as a liaison between clinic departments, physicians, patients, and families
  • provides concierge services including transportation arrangements
  • locates and provides information about inpatient rooms, outpatient clinics, and hospital campus
  • answers telephones and provides general hospital information
  • maintains positive working relationships with hospital staff
  • identifies and recommends ways to improve work processes and customer satisfaction
  • stays current with customer service developments through seminars and workshops
  • maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, and policies impacting the Guest Experience Department
  • develops internal controls to ensure compliance with laws and accreditation requirements
