Job Description
Bay Shores Peninsula Hotel is a charming boutique hotel located in the heart of Newport Beach, California. Known for its cozy coastal retreat atmosphere, the hotel offers a unique blend of vintage charm and heartfelt service that has made it a beloved destination for guests over generations. Unlike large chain hotels, Bay Shores Peninsula prides itself on providing a personalized experience that resembles the comfort and warmth of a beach house rather than a typical lodging facility. With a strong commitment to local pride, meaningful guest interactions, and warm hospitality, this independent hotel ensures every room and every guest interaction reflects its mission to deliver exceptional service and memorable stays.
The Bay Shores Peninsula Hotel is currently seeking a full-time Guest Experience Coordinator to join its dedicated team. This key role focuses on assisting guests efficiently, courteously, and professionally, managing a variety of front-office functions including reservations and café operations. The Guest Experience Coordinator serves as a vital part of the guest experience, ensuring that check-ins and check-outs are seamless and that all guests receive personalized attention that heightens their satisfaction with their stay.
This position demands maintaining a friendly, cheerful, and professional demeanor at all times while communicating clearly and effectively with both guests and team members. Responsibilities include greeting arriving guests and completing established check-in procedures, facilitating guest departures, handling cash and credit transactions with accuracy, and answering inquiries about the hotel and local amenities. The Coordinator will also manage café service, taking and processing guest orders, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
The ideal candidate will be adept at multitasking in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all guest needs are met promptly and with a high level of courtesy. They will also be responsible for operating PBX equipment to manage incoming and outgoing calls, assisting guests with wake-up calls, and supporting other hotel departments as needed. The role offers a competitive hourly pay range of $23.00 to $25.00 and includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, 401k retirement plans, vacation and sick leave, and access to a Team Member Travel Program that encourages team members to enjoy exclusive rates at sister properties for their personal rest and relaxation.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality to join a small, community-focused hotel where they can develop their skills, grow professionally, and contribute to a warm and inviting guest atmosphere in one of California's premier coastal destinations.
