The Busser position at Logans Roadhouse is a crucial role responsible for supporting the overall flow of the restaurant by ensuring the dining area is clean, organized, and well-stocked. A Busser’s primary responsibility centers around clearing, sanitizing, and resetting tables swiftly and efficiently to accommodate new guests, thus contributing to a seamless and pleasant dining service. The role demands attention to detail to maintain a clean and orderly environment, including loading and unloading dishware, refilling beverages, placing tableware and condiments accurately, and helping restock supplies such as silverware, napkins, and glasses.

Moreover, the Busser plays an active role in assisting the wait staff by serving food and beverages promptly, managing the inventory of essential items, and communicating any customer concerns, shortages, or damages to management. Physical stamina is essential for performing this job due to the constant movement, lifting, and bending required throughout the shift. The Busser also takes part in general restaurant upkeep duties, such as moving furniture to accommodate guests and conducting restroom checks to ensure overall cleanliness.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • successful completion of hourly position validations including company-required training on safety, systems and menu
  • adherence to Logans Roadhouse appearance standards
  • possession of proper food handler and alcohol dispensing certifications

Job Duties

  • Ensuring that tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset between seatings
  • serving food and refilling beverages as required
  • placing tableware and condiments on tables
  • assisting with the cleaning and processing of dirty dishes and silverware
  • ensuring that the menus, crockery, and cutlery are cleaned and replenished between tables
  • managing the inventory of napkins, straws, salt, pepper, and other table condiments and supplies
  • reporting any damage, shortages and complaints to the manager
  • moving tables, chairs and furniture to accommodate customers as needed
  • tidying the restaurant after service and ensuring that it is prepped for the following service
  • executing restroom checks as needed or required
