Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
Able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Capable of lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently
Ability to remain mobile throughout the duration of a shift
Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic retail environment

Strong communication skills including using positive language and attentive to guests needs
Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
Ability to multi-task with attention to detail
Ability to educate and engage guests around products and services
Proficiency in operating handheld scanners, multiple frequency devices, and other technology equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple tasks within established timeframes

Job Duties

Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service, accuracy, and quality
Make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events
Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed
Maintain a clean, clutter free work area
Support guest services such as order pick up, drive up, and registry
Partner with leaders to de-escalate negative situations and recover the guest shopping experience while following Target's policies
Deliver easy and accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
Work safely at all times, identify and correct hazards
Accurately handle cash register operations and cash transactions
