Job Requirements
- Ability to accurately handle checkout operations and transactions
- capability to lift and move merchandise up to 44 pounds safely
- flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- reliable and prompt attendance
- mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift
- ability to work in varying temperatures and humidity including outdoor duties
- compliance with Target's safety policies and training
- willingness to follow company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- experience in customer service or retail is an asset
- effective communication skills including use of positive language
- welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- attention to detail while prioritizing tasks
- willingness to educate guests about products and services
- ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners
- capability to work independently and with a team
- ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks within timeframes
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
- engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- make guests aware of current promos, store activities and events
- be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience
- thank guests and let them know we appreciate their choice of shopping at Target
- know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed
- scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately in compliance with food safety and company standards
- work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- understand and show guests how to use Target App features including Wallet
- be familiar with order pick-up, drive-up, and online ordering and assist guests with enrollment and use
- attempt every return and partner with leaders to solve guest issues while following policies
- maintain a clean, clutter free work area
- stock supplies during store hours while being available for guests
- demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance culture
- work safely at all times and report hazards
- support guest services such as order pick up and drive-up orders while complying with legal regulations
- perform all other duties based on business needs
