Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is beneficial
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand and remain mobile for the duration of a shift
  • Physical capability to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds occasionally
  • Reliable and prompt attendance
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions
  • Adherence to safety policies and ethical standards

Job Duties

  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting all guests authentically
  • Observe guests to understand their needs and tailor your approach accordingly
  • Engage guests by asking questions to identify their specific requirements
  • Be knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to solve guest issues
  • Thank guests genuinely and express appreciation for shopping at Target
  • Scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately
  • Work to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality
  • Inform guests about brand launches, store activities, and events
  • Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-ups
  • Demonstrate usage of Target App features such as Wallet
  • Direct guests on enrollment and use of fulfillment services
  • Handle returns following register prompts and Target policies
  • Partner with leaders to de-escalate negative situations
  • Deliver service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
  • Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
  • Stock supplies during store hours while assisting guests
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
  • Work safely to identify hazards and follow all safety policies
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local laws for specific duties
  • Perform other duties based on business needs
