Job Requirements

  • Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements
  • Ability to scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely including lifting up to 44 pounds occasionally
  • Flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Reliable and prompt attendance
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • Accurately handle cash register operations and cash transactions
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and technologies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Effective communication skills including positive language and attentiveness to guests’ needs
  • Ability to use multiple frequency communication devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology
  • Experience working in a fast-paced retail or customer service environment is a plus
  • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to engage with guests and promote products and services
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively
  • Commitment to ethical conduct, safety, and compliance

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
  • Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service, accuracy, and quality
  • Make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events
  • Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed
  • Attempt every return and follow register prompts, partnering with immediate Leaders as needed to help solve for the guest while following Targets policies and procedures
