Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively using positive language and attend to guests' needs
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Capable of handling cash register operations accurately
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and physical environments
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 10 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 44 pounds without assistance
- Reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to remain mobile during scheduled shifts
- Willingness to engage and educate guests about products and services
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not required
- Effective communication skills including positive language and active listening
- Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail
- Ability to use technology like handheld scanners and multiple frequency devices
- Comfortable working independently and in a team environment
- Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced and dynamic work setting
- Knowledge of basic cash register operations is beneficial
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
- Engage with guests in a genuine way and ask questions to better understand their specific needs
- Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve issues and improve guest experience
- Scan and bag all guest items efficiently and accurately
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service, accuracy, and quality
- Make guests aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
- Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up
- Guide guests in using Wallet and other features within the Target App
- Direct guests to enroll, activate, and use fulfillment services
- Process returns and follow register prompts partnering with leaders as needed
- Help de-escalate negative situations and recover guest shopping experience
- Deliver easy and accurate service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
- Stock supplies during store open hours
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
- Work safely at all times, identify and correct hazards
- Support guest services such as order pick up, drive-up orders, Starbucks DU, and DU returns
- Perform all other duties based on business needs
