Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years old
  • flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • reliable and prompt attendance
  • ability to stand and remain mobile for the duration of shifts
  • capability to handle cash register operations accurately
  • ability to lift/move merchandise up to 44 pounds safely
  • exposure to varying temperatures and conditions while performing duties such as drive-up and carryout
  • willingness to learn and uphold company safety and ethical standards

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior customer service experience beneficial
  • strong communication skills including positive language and active listening
  • ability to operate handheld scanners and multi-frequency communication devices
  • effective multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • positive and welcoming attitude
  • ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • adaptability in guest interaction and problem resolution
  • basic knowledge of retail operations and point of sale systems

Job Duties

  • demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
  • work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service, accuracy, and quality
  • make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events
  • assist guests with Target loyalty programs sign-up and usage
  • understand and guide guests on using Wallet and features within the Target App
  • manage returns and partner with leaders to resolve guest issues following company policies
  • deliver easy and accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
  • maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
  • stock supplies during store open hours while being available for guests
  • demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
  • work in a safe manner at all times and comply with safety policies
  • support guest services such as order pick up and drive-up orders including compliance with all applicable laws
  • perform all other duties based on business needs
