Job Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively including using positive language and being attentive to guest needs
  • welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
  • physically capable of handling merchandise up to 44 pounds
  • flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • ability to remain mobile during shifts
  • experience or willingness to learn cash register operations

  • ability to handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely
  • reliable and prompt attendance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous customer service experience a plus
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to operate technology including handheld scanners and multiple frequency devices
  • adaptable in fast-paced environments
  • able to work independently and collaboratively
  • positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • attention to detail while multitasking

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
  • scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
  • make guests aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events
  • assist guests with Target Loyalty programs and application or sign-up as needed
  • support guest services such as order pick up, drive up, and registry
  • maintain a clean, clutter free work area including gathering abandoned items, baskets, and hangers
  • demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
  • work in a safe manner at all times to benefit yourself and others
  • partner with leaders to de-escalate negative situations and recover guest shopping experiences
  • deliver easy and accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
  • accurately handle cash register operations and transactions
