Job Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Capability to handle cash register operations accurately
  • Physical ability to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds and stay mobile during shifts
  • Attention to detail and willingness to engage with guests about products and services
  • Reliable and prompt attendance
  • Commitment to safety and ethical conduct in the workplace

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous customer service experience is beneficial
  • Effective communication skills including positive language and attentiveness to guests needs
  • Ability to welcome and assist guests with a positive and helpful attitude
  • Capability to use technology equipment such as handheld scanners and operate on multiple frequency devices
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Adaptability to fast-paced environments with strong multitasking skills

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
  • Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service, accuracy, and quality
  • Make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events
  • Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed
  • Partner with Leaders as needed to de-escalate any negative situations and recover the guest shopping experience while following Target's policies and procedures
