Job Requirements

Ability to accurately handle cash register operations and cash transactions
capable of working in varying temperatures and environmental conditions
ability to lift or move merchandise up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance
flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
reliable and punctual attendance
ability to remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts
willingness to comply with safety policies and ethical standards
ability to use multiple frequency devices and other technological tools as directed
commitment to providing excellent guest service and working as part of a team.

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior retail or customer service experience is advantageous but not required
strong communication skills using positive language
ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail
comfortable engaging and educating guests about products and services
proficient in operating technology equipment including handheld scanners
ability to work independently and collaboratively
capacity to remain composed in a fast-paced environment while meeting performance standards
flexible availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Duties

Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact
engage with guests in a genuine way by asking questions to better understand their needs
be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve issues and improve guest experience
scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy
make guests aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
promote target loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed
assist guests in using the Target App features such as Wallet
direct guests to enroll, activate, and use fulfillment services
handle returns following company policies
partner with leaders to de-escalate negative situations and recover guest experiences
deliver easy and accurate service for order pick-up, drive-up, and registry guests
maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
stock supplies while remaining available for guests
demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
support guest services including order pick-up, drive-up, and returns
perform other duties based on business needs.
