Job Requirements
- Accurately handle cash register operations and cash transactions
- capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures and humidity
- scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, frequently lifting up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds without assistance
- flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- reliable and prompt attendance
- ability to remain mobile for the duration of the shift
- strong communication skills including the use of positive language
- welcoming and helpful attitude
- attention to detail while multitasking
- ability to educate guests on products and services

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- positive attitude and willingness to help others
- proficiency with technology including handheld scanners and communication devices
- ability to multitask and remain focused in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of cash handling procedures
- ability to lift or move merchandise weighing up to 44 pounds occasionally
- flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- capable of maintaining mobility and energy throughout the shift
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes guest experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
- observe guest needs and tailor your approach accordingly
- engage with guests in a genuine way to understand their specific needs
- be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available to solve guest issues and improve experience
- scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately
- minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality
- promote current and upcoming brand launches and store activities
- inform guests about Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-ups
- show guests how to use the Target App and its features
- direct guests on enrollment and use of all fulfillment services
- handle returns and follow register prompts while partnering with leaders as needed
- de-escalate negative situations and recover guest experiences
- deliver easy and accurate service to order pickup, drive-up, and registry guests
- maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
- stock supplies and support guest services such as order pickup and drive-up
- demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance in all tasks
- work safely and identify and correct hazards
- perform all other duties based on business needs
