Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members
  • willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds
  • experience with cash handling and register operations
  • ability to work in varying temperature conditions
  • reliable and prompt attendance
  • ability to remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
  • observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact and tailor your approach
  • engage with guests in a genuine way by asking questions to better understand their needs
  • be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available to solve guest issues and improve their experience
  • thank the guest genuinely and show appreciation
  • scan and bag all guest items efficiently and accurately in compliance with safety standards
  • work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • make guests aware of current and upcoming brand launches, activities, and events
  • promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-ups
  • educate guests on how to use the Target Wallet and app features
  • be familiar with fulfillment services and direct guests accordingly
  • manage returns with register prompts and seek leadership assistance when needed
  • assist in de-escalating negative situations
  • deliver accurate service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
  • maintain a clean and clutter-free workspace
  • stock supplies during open hours while being available for guests
  • demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
  • work safely and identify hazards
  • support guest services including order pickup and Drive-Up compliance
  • perform other duties as required based on business needs
