Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
Ability to stand and remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 44 pounds occasionally
Flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays
Reliable and prompt attendance required
Ability to handle cash register operations accurately
Comfortable working in varying temperature and humidity conditions
Authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

Excellent communication skills including use of positive language
Ability to interact with guests in a welcoming and helpful manner
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Willingness to educate guests about products and services
Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
Experience in cash handling preferred but not required

Job Duties

Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
Make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events
Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed
Attempt every return and follow register prompts, partnering with immediate Leaders as needed
Partner with Leaders as needed to de-escalate any negative situations and recover the guest shopping experience
Deliver easy and accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
Maintain a clean, clutter free work area
Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for the guest
Work in a safe manner at all times to benefit yourself and others
Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders and maintain compliance culture
All other duties based on business needs
