Job Requirements

  • Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely
  • Frequently lift or move merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds
  • Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable and prompt attendance
  • Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures and humidity
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous retail or customer service experience beneficial but not required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Capability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
  • Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and systems
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service
  • Ability to handle cash register operations when needed
  • Certification to operate power equipment if applicable

Job Duties

  • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
  • Observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact
  • Engage with guests in a genuine way by asking questions to understand their needs
  • Be knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to resolve guest issues
  • Thank guests genuinely and express appreciation for shopping at Target
  • Help guests while completing workload with minimal disruption
  • Work in all departments to ensure sales floor is full, zoned, and stocked
  • Push and stock product to sales floor
  • Execute adjacency changes, transitions, revisions, and sales plans
  • Conduct weekly price change workload and ensure accurate signing
  • Complete scans and system audits for inventory accuracy
  • Support execution of major transitions and ISM
  • Maintain interior and exterior brand standards including cleanliness and maintenance
  • Accurately execute product pulls and backstock from all departments
  • Process inbound deliveries to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Complete all backroom daily and weekly audits
  • Operate power equipment if certified
  • Maintain backroom organization and location accuracy
  • Follow processes with attention to detail and prioritize tasks accurately
  • Demonstrate ethics, safety, and compliance culture
  • Work safely and identify hazards
  • Support guest services including back-up cashier and order pick up
  • Perform all other duties as needed based on business requirements
