The GTM Account Executive and Event Coordinator role is a unique and exciting position that goes well beyond conventional entry-level sales jobs. Instead of solely focusing on routine sales tasks, you will engage in strategic initiatives such as researching potential customers in various sectors including startups, marketing, HR, and operations. You will also support outbound marketing efforts through email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and live events, sharpening your consultative selling abilities while preparing tailored demos and proposals.

Additionally, this role provides hands-on experience with event coordination and customer engagement by representing Wayo at trade shows, conferences, and community gatherings, as well as hosting visitors in Wayo’s San Francisco swag sample room for an immersive sales experience. You will assist in organizing Wayo’s own events, fostering strong relationships with clients, partners, and the local startup community. This multifaceted position offers exposure to pipeline management and data tracking using tools like HubSpot, providing a comprehensive understanding of sales operations and event marketing.

Job Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in business, consulting, sales, startups, or customer-facing roles
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, curious, and comfortable initiating conversations with new people
  • Highly organized with strong eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in startups, AI, B2B, or building innovative solutions from the ground up
  • Willingness to work in-person/hybrid in San Francisco

Job Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in business, consulting, sales, startups, or customer-facing roles
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Internships or project experience in sales, consulting, VC, startups, or student-led organizations
  • Experience with outbound efforts, customer interviews, or event outreach
  • Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Notion, or LinkedIn
  • A builder mindset demonstrated through projects, clubs, or other entrepreneurial activities

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with founders to drive Wayo’s go-to-market strategy
  • Identify and research potential customers in startups, marketing, events, HR, and operations
  • Support outbound marketing efforts through email, LinkedIn, and events
  • Participate in customer calls, demos, and discovery sessions to learn consultative selling techniques
  • Prepare customized demos, proposals, and follow-ups for prospective clients
  • Engage with clients in Wayo’s downtown San Francisco swag sample room to offer a memorable sales experience
  • Represent Wayo at trade shows, conferences, dinners, and community events
  • Assist in organizing Wayo events in San Francisco to foster relationships with customers, partners, and the startup community
  • Record and track pipeline activity, event outcomes, and customer insights in HubSpot
