Job Description
Molina Healthcare is a leading managed care company dedicated to providing high-quality health services to underserved communities. Operating primarily in the Medicaid and Medicare markets, Molina Healthcare places a strong emphasis on community-focused healthcare solutions and building meaningful relationships with its members and partners. As a reputable health insurance provider, Molina serves millions of members across the United States, delivering comprehensive care coordination and support that improve health outcomes and quality of life. The company values inclusivity, cultural competency, and proactive community engagement to ensure that every member receives personalized and accessible healthcare coverage.
This particular role is for a Growth & Community Engagement Senior Specialist based in Pierce or Thurston County, with occasional travel to King County depending on business needs. The position’s primary mission is to support Molina Healthcare’s membership retention and growth through active community involvement and relationship building. It goes beyond typical event attendance by requiring a proactive, field-based approach that involves collaboration with community organizations, healthcare providers, faith-based groups, nonprofits, and other stakeholders involved in social determinants of health like housing, food access, and behavioral health. Candidates must reside near Pierce or Thurston Counties and bilingual skills, especially Spanish, are highly preferred.
As a Growth & Community Engagement Senior Specialist, you will be expected to spend 50 to 70 percent or more of your time in the field attending or hosting community events, meeting with partners, and representing Molina Healthcare visibly within the community. Flexibility in scheduling is offered to accommodate a sustainable work-life balance. In this role, you will be responsible for improving the plan’s choice rate by conducting direct and indirect marketing activities aimed at increasing Medicaid enrollment. You will build and maintain strong partnerships with community-based organizations, healthcare providers such as clinics and hospitals, and nonprofits focused on supporting underserved populations.
The role involves leadership responsibilities such as mentoring less experienced team members and potentially serving as acting supervisor or manager as needed. You will execute enrollment events, coach team members, and ensure alignment of marketing strategies with overall membership growth goals. Your tasks will also include educating community members about Molina Healthcare’s insurance products and services, delivering impactful presentations, managing relationships that drive enrollment, and coordinating company programs within your region.
Ideal candidates will have prior experience in field-based or community-facing roles like health educator, community liaison, outreach worker, or sales and marketing professional within healthcare or related industries. They must demonstrate exceptional networking, negotiation, and public speaking skills, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential due to the travel requirements associated with the role. Additionally, the ability to engage diverse populations in various event settings is crucial.
Molina Healthcare offers a competitive benefits and compensation package, with hourly pay ranging from $21.65 to $44.49, depending on location, experience, and skills. Molina’s leadership emphasizes empowerment and values team members who are passionate about helping others and making a positive impact in their communities. If you are committed to community health and eager to drive growth through meaningful engagement, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career and contribute to a purpose-driven organization.
