Job Requirements

  • at least 3 years of management experience within catering or conference services
  • bachelors degree in sales and marketing, business or similar discipline preferred
  • salesforces/delphi experience preferred
  • proficiency in microsoft office suite
  • attention to detail
  • display exception negotiation and upselling skills
  • ability to organize and to proficiently read, write and communicate in english
  • have basic knowledge in technology including audio and visual equipment

Job Duties

  • sell and service group and catering events for the hotel
  • work cohesively with the banquet and food and beverage team to deliver seamless service
  • drive revenue and exceed goals through upsells in banquets food and beverage and spa revenues to assigned groups
  • forecast food and beverage events from assigned groups
  • provide excellent customer service and exceed customer expectations
  • manage and lead follow up on rooms and food and beverage attrition
  • build and maintain a strong relationship with clients, understanding their needs and working with them through execution of their event
  • manage all aspects of events, including the room setup, catering, and other special requests
  • work closely with all departments to ensure seamless service delivery
  • oversee the execution of event, troubleshooting any issues that may arise
  • maintain budgets, communicating to clients about estimated expenses
  • prepare and distribute event documents, such as banquet event orders, diagrams, resume, budget estimates, and post-event reports
  • lead planning site visits
