Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in hotel or group sales preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift moderate weight occasionally
- Valid driver’s license

- Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans

Job Duties
- Develop new leads and research new business to meet and/or exceed revenue goals in rooms, food and beverage and resource revenue
- Identify trends in the market and apply this knowledge to maximize sales
- Proactively develop new business for the hotel and build strong customer relationships
- Consult with client group representatives to plan event details including number of attendees, display space, and food service schedules
- Manage time effectively, focus on priorities, and complete assigned reports and projects in a timely manner
- Execute rate negotiations, issue contracts, process bookings and perform follow-up correspondence with clients
- Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings to generate sales for the hotel
