This esteemed property is connected directly to the Montgomery Convention Center and is situated near the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre (MPAC), placing it at the center of the city’s bustling business and cultural district. Operated by PCH Hotels and Resorts, an independent franchisee separate from Marriott International, the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa offers an outstanding blend of luxury, comfort, and convenience. With over 340 guest rooms, a full-service European-style spa, rooftop pool, and multiple dining outlets, the hotel is a leader in the hospitality industry within the region. It also boasts the largest meeting and convention space in the area, making it a sought-after venue for group events, association conferences, and citywide gatherings.
The role of Group Sales Manager at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa is a pivotal leadership position focused on driving sales growth for group bookings, large associations, and citywide events. This full-time management role is perfect for an individual passionate about building strong sales relationships, managing large account portfolios, and creating memorable experiences for guests from a business perspective. The Group Sales Manager will engage with a defined geographic territory, employing proactive outreach strategies to develop new accounts and maintain relationships without relying solely on incoming leads.
This position demands an experienced sales professional with at least three years of hotel sales experience, specifically handling large groups of 100 or more peak rooms, with a proven track record of managing complex, citywide, association, or corporate group accounts. The successful candidate will expertly navigate Marriott’s group sales platform, CI/TY, and demonstrate strong negotiation and contract-closing capabilities to secure large contracts. The role sits in the middle of a collaborative environment, working closely with leaders in Sales, Marketing, and Operations across the PCH Hotels portfolio, with ample opportunities for career growth in a supportive, values-based culture.
The Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa offers competitive salary packages starting from $60,000, complemented by bonus potential and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and exclusive hotel discounts. This company promotes a culture that values trust, strong relationships, and collaboration, ensuring that its employees thrive professionally while contributing to the overall guest experience. The Group Sales Manager position is a fantastic opportunity to build a rewarding career within a dynamic, market-leading hotel property in Montgomery and to participate in delivering hospitality with heart and soul.
