This full-time position is based in Gresham, Oregon, and falls under the Plasma Operations category, specifically within Plasma Center Operations. The role focuses on efficiently facilitating donor flow by managing and coaching reception staff while supporting plasma collection processes. The incumbent is responsible for assisting qualified donors through the screening process to ensure donor eligibility and safety. Key responsibilities include registering qualified, applicant, and transfer donors, educating new donors on the importance and use of plasma-derived therapies, and maintaining clear and accurate donor records in the electronic management system. The role demands attention to detail with equipment calibration and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure the highest safety standards. Additionally, the role includes mentoring and guiding reception staff on technical and operational procedures to optimize center workflow.
This position requires an individual capable of managing multiple tasks within a fast-paced and dynamic environment, often involving direct donor interaction and team coordination. The candidate should possess strong communication skills to handle inquiries via telephone and in-person, all while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with health and safety regulations. A high level of manual dexterity and the ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds is also necessary, reflecting the physical nature of the work.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 18 months experience in clerical or customer service position preferably in health care or plasma collection environment
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Ability to make decisions impacting immediate work unit
- Ability to understand, remember and communicate routine factual information
- Ability to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation
- Ability to stand and walk up to 100% of the time
- Capability to reach, bend, kneel and have high level of manual dexterity
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Ability to handle exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood borne pathogens
- Required to wear personal protective equipment as needed
- Willingness to work overtime and extended hours
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 18 months experience in clerical or customer service role, preferably in healthcare or plasma collection
- Basic math skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to train and coach staff
- Knowledge of plasma pheresis operations is an asset
Job Duties
- Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process in compliance with standard operating procedures
- Register applicant and transfer donors after appropriate training
- Educate new donors on therapeutic products, screening, policies, and nutrition
- Answer telephone inquiries and provide accurate information
- Monitor donor reactions during pheresis and notify staff as needed
- Maximize donor flow by allocating staff and resources effectively
- Conduct daily equipment calibration, troubleshoot failures, and document incidents
- Provide guidance and training to reception and other staff
- Support center management in scheduling and resolving minor issues
- Ensure accurate recording of donor data in electronic systems
