The agent is responsible for processing all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received via phone, fax, or mail. This position requires a keen understanding of guest needs to determine the appropriate room type, verify availability, and explain important policies such as guarantees, special rates, and cancellations. The Reservations Agent not only manages individual bookings but also oversees group reservations, maintaining accuracy in room blocks and managing group rooming lists through advanced reservation systems. They serve as a vital link between guests and the hotel, accommodating special requests and answering inquiries related to the property’s facilities and services.
