Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • at least 1 year of related work experience
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • knowledge of reservation processes and hotel policies
  • basic computer skills
  • ability to work full-time
  • physical ability to handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds
  • commitment to follow company policies and maintain confidentiality

Job Qualifications

  • proficiency in reservation systems
  • ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

Job Duties

  • process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail
  • identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room type
  • verify availability of room type and rate
  • explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers
  • accommodate and document special requests
  • answer questions about property facilities, services, and room accommodations
  • follow sales techniques to maximize revenue
  • communicate information regarding designated VIP reservations
  • input and access data in reservation system
  • respond to challenges in accommodating rooming requests
  • oversee accuracy of room blocks and reservations
  • input group rooming lists using reservation systems
  • revise room blocks to maintain available rooms
  • keep organized files of all groups
  • set up proper billing accounts according to accounting policies
  • follow all company policies and procedures
  • maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards
  • anticipate and address guests’ service needs
  • assist individuals with disabilities
  • speak with clear and professional language
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members
  • comply with quality assurance standards
  • visually verify information accurately
  • move and handle objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds
  • perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
