We are currently seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper-Custodian to join our team at our upscale apartment community in Marina del Rey. This role offers a stable, day-shift schedule of 40 hours per week with no night shifts, ideal for individuals seeking work-life balance in a reputable property management firm. The hourly pay starts at $21.00, complemented by monthly and year-end bonuses, underscoring AMLI’s commitment to rewarding employee contributions.

As a Groundskeeper-Custodian, you will play a critical role in maintaining the beauty, cleanliness, and overall presentation of our property. Daily responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining various common areas such as the leasing office, restrooms, hallways, stairways, elevators, amenities, laundry rooms, and parking garages. You will ensure that the community always looks fresh and inviting by washing interior and exterior windows, maintaining light fixtures, and managing janitorial supplies and equipment with care and inventory control.

This position also involves assisting with preparing vacant and model apartments for move-ins and tours, helping with move-out cleanings, moving bulky items, and participating in property inspections. Providing basic grounds care such as sweeping, picking up trash, and watering planters are key elements of your daily duties. Moreover, you will support the team during emergencies, including floods, fires, or weather-related events, which may necessitate occasional overtime.

Candidates with prior custodial, janitorial, or cleaning experience are preferred, especially those comfortable operating cleaning equipment like mops, vacuums, carpet cleaners, and scrubbers safely. Physical ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds, sometimes more, is required. The ideal candidate must be able to follow basic written and verbal instructions to perform tasks efficiently and maintain the high standards that AMLI Residential expects.
