This job opening is for a full-time, non-exempt Groundskeeper position reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. The primary focus of this role is to maintain the safety and appearance of the property’s common areas, ensuring they are tidy, sanitary, and visually appealing. This includes responsibilities such as trash removal, landscape upkeep, and preparing apartment units for new residents. The Groundskeeper will play a vital role in reinforcing the company’s commitment to resident satisfaction through excellent customer service and property maintenance.

As a Groundskeeper, the successful candidate will perform a variety of duties including maintaining the clubhouse, office, model apartments, hallways, and all outdoor spaces. This role requires vigilance to keep the property free of debris, animal waste, and to ensure dumpster areas are clean and ready for trash pickup. The individual will be responsible for watering flowers and ensuring grass and landscaping are optimally maintained. Communication with the Maintenance Team Leader regarding any repairs or maintenance issues requiring attention is expected.

Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and to stand, walk, and perform physical labor throughout shifts that may last up to eight hours, often outdoors in varying weather conditions such as rain, snow, heat, or wind. The position requires use of hand and power tools, and successful candidates must demonstrate the physical capability and stamina needed. The Groundskeeper will also participate in required training sessions and follow all company policies and procedures geared toward maintaining property standards and resident satisfaction.
