Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs
- Capacity to climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop frequently
- Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
- Availability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Adherence to company attendance policies
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- Prior work experience in aviation or ground handling
- Possess relevant certifications or licenses if applicable
- Airport badge or security clearance if applicable
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to mentor and train staff
- Knowledge of airport safety and operational procedures
- Ability to operate ground support equipment
Job Duties
- Supervise agents and leads on each shift to ensure all proper procedures are followed in a safe, efficient manner
- Mentor and coach agents and leads and conduct on-the-job training
- Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate
- Transport, load and unload passenger baggage, cargo, and mail
- Clean aircraft passenger cabins between flights and stock aircraft with needed supplies
- Operate heavy equipment to move luggage and cargo, tow planes between gates, and refill water tanks and lavatories
- Be on time, be prepared, and be safe
- Assist with creating and managing the staffing schedule to ensure adequate coverage for each flight
- Perform other tasks as assigned to meet operational needs
