Job Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move items weighing 70 pounds regularly
- Ability to lift items weighing 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces
- Capability to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in all weather conditions and around aircraft noises
- Ability to be alert to moving vehicles and aircraft and use radio equipment effectively
- Complete all safety and compliance training as required
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Authorization to work in the U.S. or Canada as applicable
- Complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification
- Ability to secure a Customs Seal if required by customer or role access
- Preferred one or more years of relevant experience
Job Duties
- Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate
- Transport, lift, load/unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, cargo, and mail material safely
- Safeguard customer baggage, air cargo, and airmail from weather, loss, theft, damage, or destruction
- Clean aircraft passenger cabins between flights and stock aircraft with needed supplies
- Operate heavy equipment including pushback equipment while maintaining safety protocols
- Drive motorized equipment such as belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, push back tugs, bag carts, lavatory carts, and deicers
- Receive and record customer baggage, air freight, mail, and company materials
- Pick up, deliver, and transport cargo and baggage including wheelchairs, strollers, live animals, and vital passenger property
- Complete paperwork and enter data into company information systems as required
- Follow company safety procedures and protocols at all times
- Complete all required training including ramp and SIDA training
- Be punctual, prepared, and adhere to safety standards while working flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
