Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move items weighing 70 pounds regularly
  • Ability to lift items weighing 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces
  • Capability to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods
  • Physical stamina to work outdoors in all weather conditions and around aircraft noises
  • Ability to be alert to moving vehicles and aircraft and use radio equipment effectively
  • Complete all safety and compliance training as required
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. or Canada as applicable
  • Complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification
  • Ability to secure a Customs Seal if required by customer or role access
  • Preferred one or more years of relevant experience

Job Duties

  • Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate
  • Transport, lift, load/unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, cargo, and mail material safely
  • Safeguard customer baggage, air cargo, and airmail from weather, loss, theft, damage, or destruction
  • Clean aircraft passenger cabins between flights and stock aircraft with needed supplies
  • Operate heavy equipment including pushback equipment while maintaining safety protocols
  • Drive motorized equipment such as belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, push back tugs, bag carts, lavatory carts, and deicers
  • Receive and record customer baggage, air freight, mail, and company materials
  • Pick up, deliver, and transport cargo and baggage including wheelchairs, strollers, live animals, and vital passenger property
  • Complete paperwork and enter data into company information systems as required
  • Follow company safety procedures and protocols at all times
  • Complete all required training including ramp and SIDA training
  • Be punctual, prepared, and adhere to safety standards while working flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
