Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years' experience as a flight instructor-simulator and/or airplane
  • 1-2 years of experience as a FAR 121 dispatcher
  • ability to speak/read/write in English
  • authorized to work in the U.S.

  • PSA pilot experience preferred
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • PSA dispatcher experience preferred
  • adult learning classroom instructor experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Planning and efficient scheduling of all ground instruction activities
  • developing printed and/or electronic courseware and revising training documents as needed
  • responsible for courseware development and course content
  • teaching any new curriculum as required to meet the changing training needs of PSA
  • ensuring all ground training meets regulatory compliance standards and is properly documented in accordance with the PSA Training Manual
  • providing a point of communication for students before and during ground training
  • effectively and positively resolving issues related to hotel, travel, dress code, behavior, etc
  • developing and publishing all online tests and distance learning modules, ensuring compliance with completion standards, and coordinating with payroll to ensure proper pay
  • monitoring student progress and intervening with additional training or counseling when needed
  • making final determinations regarding student performance and recommendation for simulator training
  • maintaining operational effectiveness of IPTs, FTDs, iPads, and VSIM
  • ensuring new hire pilots have completed required time verifications, meet company minimums, and properly prepare paperwork necessary for check-rides
  • responsible for the company’s Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs
  • performing other duties as assigned
