The Grill Restaurant Supervisor role at Sage Lodge, a distinguished property managed by Columbia Hospitality, presents an exciting opportunity to lead and inspire teams in a stunning natural setting. Sage Lodge sits nestled on more than a mile of Yellowstone riverfront, just 35 minutes from Yellowstone National Park, offering breathtaking views of Emigrant Peak and easy access to outdoor activities such as hiking, horseback riding, biking, and fishing. This resort embodies Montana hospitality with 50 rustically elegant guestrooms and amenities like the Fireside Room dining and The Spa at Sage Lodge. The Grill Restaurant Supervisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the food and beverage department within this extraordinary environment.

The Grill Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for supervising personnel employed in the food and beverage department, including scheduling, training, and daily motivation. This leader will facilitate sales, customer service, and operational activities, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and adherence to safety and quality standards at all F&B outlets. The role requires active participation on the floor as needed, especially in assisting with wine service, with a preference for candidates holding International Sommelier Guild Wine Fundamentals certification. Inventory management, compliance with state liquor laws, and effective communication with guests and team members are also critical responsibilities. Job Duties
- Supervises personnel employed in the food and beverage department including scheduling, training, motivating employees daily
- Assist service team on the floor, take and serve orders if necessary and assist with wine service
- Facilitates sales, customer service, operations interface daily
- Supervises division activities, overseeing daily operations of all F&B outlets
- Ensures profitability, efficient operations and adherence to established safety and quality standards daily
- Inventories supplies and beverages and maintains accurate inventory records monthly
- Responds to internal and external inquiries and complaints and maintains favorable team member and guest relations as needed
- Administers state liquor laws as they pertain to operations daily
- Deals with guests' challenges and communicates all issues with appropriate food and beverage leadership
- Assures that we exceed guest expectations by being responsive, engaged and following-through on all requests
- Represents organization as point of contact ensuring guests' needs are met and expectations exceeded
- Must be able to have flexible work days
- Ensures a safe work environment, reporting unsafe conditions and equipment that need repair immediately and that the work area is clean and orderly
- Other duties as assigned by leadership
