Job Requirements

  • Experience as a short-order cook or similar role
  • Active Food Handlers Card
  • Ability to work full-time, 35 hours or more per week
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen
  • Flexible schedule availability
  • Commitment to safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Experience in a small kitchen is a plus
  • Active Food Handlers Card
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Job Duties

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, meat, or preparing sauces
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
