Job Requirements
- Experience as a short-order cook or similar role
- Active Food Handlers Card
- Ability to work full-time, 35 hours or more per week
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen
- Flexible schedule availability
- Commitment to safety and sanitation standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Qualifications
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Experience in a small kitchen is a plus
- Active Food Handlers Card
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Job Duties
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, meat, or preparing sauces
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
