The Grill Cook/Prep Specialist will engage in various tasks such as inspecting raw meats for quality, marinating and seasoning chicken according to company recipes, cooking products to perfection, and ensuring proper food storage using the FIFO method. Additionally, this role supports other kitchen operations including assisting in burrito assembly and collaborating with the expediter to streamline food service. Maintaining proper temperatures for cooked products, conducting thorough cleaning and sanitization, and contributing to the training of new team members are core responsibilities.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- must be physically capable of moving within the work area
- comply with health regulations concerning food handling
- ability to understand and execute company recipes
- basic math skills required, including understanding units of measurement
- capable of ensuring products meet the company’s presentation standards
- must be at least 18 years old to cut chicken
- ability to lift and move items up to 75 lbs with assistance
- frequent reaching, bending, lifting, and walking required
- must be able to empty trash bags weighing up to 40 lbs
- high level of mobility and flexibility needed
- capable of working under stress during peak times
- exposure to various environmental conditions including heat and cold
- continual standing and walking is necessary

Job Duties
- adhere to company food handling and safety guidelines
- organize storage areas using the fifo method for optimal product freshness
- inspect raw meats for quality and acceptability
- prepare, marinate, and season whole chickens as per company standards
- thaw and store raw meats based on projected needs
- cook whole chickens and other grilled items to meet company quality standards
- cut, stock, and arrange grilled products for presentation
- monitor cooked chicken quality and take necessary actions if it does not meet standards
- maintain proper serving temperatures for all cooked meat products
- assist in the burrito assembly process and collaborate with the expediter
- conduct thorough cleaning and sanitization of the work area, equipment, tools, and storage containers
- support training initiatives for new cooks and prep personnel
- perform additional duties as directed by supervisors
- ensure all shipments of food products are stored correctly and organized
- regularly inspect cold food product ingredients for quality standards
- prepare and package cold food items according to projected needs
- maintain cleanliness and organization of front line and drive-thru coolers
