Job Requirements

  • Prior short-order cook, pizza cook, or cashier experience is preferred
  • ability to work under 20 hours per week with flexible availability including some weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
  • willingness to attend training and safety meetings
  • ability to perform job duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience as a short-order cook, pizza cook, or cashier preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow recipes and production standards
  • strong customer service skills
  • good communication and teamwork abilities
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and safety in the workplace
  • punctuality and reliability

Job Duties

  • Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation
  • complete orders from steam tables and serve customers at multiple stations
  • serve customers efficiently and friendly following established steps of service
  • ensure food is at the correct temperature and presented attractively
  • taste all prepared food items for quality
  • use established ticket-collection procedures during service
  • maintain records from area worked during service periods
  • use approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality and portion control
  • carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator safely
  • store foods following standard wrapping, dating, and food safety rotation procedures
  • clean, sanitize, and maintain all assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards
  • resolve customer concerns and report relevant information to supervisor
  • attend in-service and safety meetings
  • maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
  • perform job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • perform other duties as assigned
