Job Requirements

  • No prior experience required
  • Must be able to work part-time variable shifts including 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must comply with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Able to lift and carry food pans and trays safely
  • Must be willing to attend in-service and safety meetings

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work part-time hours including afternoons and evenings
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Food handling and safety knowledge a plus
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as carrying pans and standing for long periods
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes
  • Willingness to learn and adhere to company standards
  • Previous experience in food service an advantage but not required

Job Duties

  • Takes orders from customers and prepares food items requiring short preparation
  • Completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations
  • Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner following established service steps
  • Ensures food is at correct temperature and meets quality standards
  • Tastes all prepared food items to guarantee quality
  • Uses approved recipes and portion control standards
  • Carries pans and trays of food according to safety standards
  • Stores foods following proper wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures
  • Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment
  • Resolves customer concerns and reports issues to supervisor
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers and managers
  • Performs job safely while keeping work environment clean
  • Performs other assigned duties as needed
