Job Requirements
- Previous grill cooking experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work weekends and occasional weekdays
- Must be able to perform essential functions of the position
- Ability to maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Willingness to work in a healthcare foodservice environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous grill cooking experience preferred but not required
- Ability to follow recipes and production standards
- Customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and be trained
Job Duties
- Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation
- Complete orders from steam tables and serve customers at multiple stations
- Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner following established steps of service
- Ensure food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- Taste all prepared food items
- Use established ticket-collection procedures during service
- Store foods in designated areas following standard wrapping, dating and food safety procedures
- Clean, sanitize and maintain assigned work areas, equipment and utensils
- Resolve customer concerns and report relevant information to supervisor
- Attend in-service and safety meetings
- Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
