The current opportunity is for a full-time Grill Cook position with working hours from Monday through Friday in two possible shifts, either 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. This role is ideal for individuals who have prior experience in short-order grill cooking and who thrive working in a fast-paced environment serving a diverse population within a healthcare setting. The position offers a competitive pay range from $16.00 to $17.00 per hour. The Grill Cook is responsible for preparing food items at the grill station following all applicable federal, state, and corporate guidelines for food safety and quality standards.
In this role, the Grill Cook will prepare and serve food items quickly and accurately while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. They will handle order taking, cooking, and ensuring that food is served at the correct temperatures with appealing presentation. Attention to detail regarding portion control and taste testing is emphasized to guarantee customer satisfaction. The Grill Cook also plays a critical role in food storage, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Besides operational duties, this position demands strong interpersonal skills to address customer concerns and collaborate with coworkers and management effectively.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience as a short-order grill cook
- ability to work full-time schedule Monday through Friday
- ability to handle physical demands including lifting and standing for long periods
- basic understanding of food safety and sanitation
- willingness to attend in-service and safety meetings
- ability to resolve customer concerns professionally

Job Duties
- Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation
- completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations
- serves customers in an efficient, friendly manner following established steps of service and standards
- ensures food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- tastes all prepared food items
- uses established ticket-collection procedures during service
- maintains records from the area worked during service periods
- uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality, serving temperatures, and portion control
- carries pans, kettles, and trays safely
- stores foods following standard wrapping, dating, and food safety procedures
- cleans, sanitizes, and maintains assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils
- resolves customer concerns and reports relevant information to supervisors
- attends in-service and safety meetings
- maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
- performs job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- performs other duties as assigned
