Located at the Nebraska Medical Center, Sodexo is currently seeking a full-time Grill Cook to join their dynamic culinary team. This role is crucial in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals to patients, staff, and visitors, emphasizing both food safety and excellent customer service. The Grill Cook role offers a pay range from $18.23 to $21.36 per hour and involves varying shifts with open availability preferred. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, portioning, grilling, and presenting a diverse array of hot and cold food items across different meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special or catered events. Your duties will include reading and accurately measuring ingredients according to recipes, operating kitchen equipment such as grills and fryers, and ensuring the food meets Sodexo's high standards for quality and presentation. Beyond cooking, you will contribute to minimizing food waste and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. The role demands punctuality, reliability, and flexibility with shift schedules. - 0 to 2 years of related experience preferred
- Ability to work varying shifts including days and evenings

Job Duties
- Prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special or catered events
- Read, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Operate grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment
- Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
- Minimize food waste and contribute to a safe working environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs and client requirements
