The Grill Cook position is an essential role within a dynamic restaurant environment dedicated to delivering high-quality hot appetizers and entrees to its patrons. The Grill Cook operates under the direct supervision of the Restaurant Manager, contributing significantly to the efficient and smooth functioning of the kitchen. This role demands precision, speed, and a high degree of culinary skill, as the grill cook is responsible for preparing, plating, and garnishing dishes that comply with the restaurant's recipe book and quality standards.

The successful candidate will join a vibrant team where teamwork and individual responsibility are key. The role involves setting up the work area with the necessary equipment and utensils, accurately processing orders through the point-of-sale (POS) system, and preparing menu items according to established recipes. Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen area is paramount, including strict adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines, proper product rotation using the first-in-first-out (FIFO) principle, and ensuring all prepared products are correctly covered, labeled, and stored.

This position also requires occasional operation of dish machines and preparation of salads and raw products for the cook’s line, making flexibility and multi-tasking important attributes of the Grill Cook. The physical demands include standing for extended periods, handling up to 50 pounds, and working in challenging environments such as near open flames and hot fryers. Given the fast-paced nature of the kitchen, working well under pressure and maintaining composure is crucial.

Job Duties
